At last I've finished it. I've been working on it as much as possible for a month, and my eyes are bleeding.

Here's Ridley, from Super Metroid. He's the fourth in my Metroid Bosses series, and my magnum opus of all digital painting to date. I sketched it out in Photoshop CS2, and went back and forth from CS2 to Corel Painter 10 in the painting process. Hope you guys like it!! I poured everything I had into this one :D

The glowing thing in Samus' hand is a last ditch power bomb, inspired by the Halo 3 diorama here: [link]

Thanks! It's hard to make blood show up when the whole image is pretty much monochromatic red, but I tried. The full size is 2000 pixels, I'm a little disappointed with how much detail is lost now that I've shrunk it. I forgot I was working with so much, so when I detailed at 100% I didn't realize I was still at 200% zoom on the finished size. :(

I thought about it, but I choose to keep the monochromatic theme for now. It's easily changed if I change my mind. ;P

This is freakin' outstanding. Man this is... I can't even say much else. Its just so amazing. The detail is very nice here and the way you positioned Samus was good too. Excellent work.
