Pokemon OC: Lily

Hey guys! Here's my first OC in forever. I posted some back in the day when I was TERRIBAD. I wanna get rid of em, but everyone just tells me they show my character and growth over time so I leave the things up. I'm making this year my people year, cause holy cow I need to practice people more. For years I've been focused on wallpapers and Metroid boss battles and stuff, and it's fun but I need to work on some new stuff to grow as an artist. I've spent a lot of time practicing figure drawings, and I can tell I'm really starting to improve and work out my personal style.

So this is Lily Walker, my trainer for when I play Pokemon X. I change my trainer in each game, but this is the one I'm most attached to. I experimented with a simple color palette for her outfit and outfit design in general. I suck at outfit design, but I'm pretty happy with it now. I know she's dressed kinda skimpy, but I like the sporty look so sue me.

Idk why, but I like drawing my characters in a pose and expression they'd pretty much never make, I'm a dork that way. Like, Lily is supposed to be this spunky, free-spirited busy body always trying to fix other people's problems. But she's giddy and naive. And here I've drawn her all dropping her bag like she's about to kick someone's punk ass. I like contradictions though, it's fun to imagine and draw them. 

I hope you like it! I'm going to keep up with my Metroid bosses series still, I'll be doing Kraid(finally) later this year. It's really important, so I'm going to take my time and do it right. I'm also involved in a tight-lipped art collab elsewhere, and I get to make a piece for this year's Link's Blacklist over at so it's a really exciting year!
